Edit: im playing on PC and reinstalling it dosnt work.Easy Anti-Cheat is the name of the anti-cheat service used for Vermintide 2 and Darktide. also i tried the runasdate application and it actually helped for a few hours. the freeze stop working thing didnt happen until like several hours into playing after i stopped playing for several months.
i REALLY hope you can help me, i might just have to reinstall it.
the abilities i just recently tried to select was innocence cannon and murder grenade i think they were called. heres some solutions ive tested, ive tried disabling artwork which was already disabled but i enabled and disabled it to be sure, ive tried playing in borderless but the same things occur, ive tried verifying the game files but nothing was "wrong" with it. heres how it crashes: when i choose an ability, the screen freezes and unless i have borderless on in the background theres a "this game has stopped working" and well i cant exactly tab out to the desktop to find this i did the alt tab thing and managed to quickly see this. So heres what i know, the game can crash on so far, two different occasions, either when in a battle, that only happend once though but it crashed in the same way, then MOSTLY it crashes EVERYTIME i choose either one ability or a second ability, so far it has crashed on choosing an ability. So i havnt found a SINGLE solution searching on google, and from a few people they havnt either heard this "new" freeze/crash.
